Scripture Tags

If you came to our Cup of Encouragement meetings you would have been given two tags each month. I will try to post one each week. I used a Accucut die for the tag but tags are easy to make without having a die. These measure 5 1/4" by 2 5/8". The left corners are trimmed off and a standard size hole punch can be used for the hole. The rings are available at office supply stores and Walmart. A key charm is on the ring first. I like to laminate them to make them more durable. They make wonderful gifts.

Mother Teresa Quote

Quote #5
"We may not have people hungry for a plate of bread in NY City, but there is a tremendous hunger & a tremendous feeling of unwantedness everywhere. And that is really a very great poverty."

A Father's quote

"Kindness has always mattered to our father. He taught us to honor people, & he has encouraged us since before I can remember to empathize with human suffering When I was a teenager he'd say "Ann go do something that helps people. Do something of service. It will always make you feel good about your life."

mini scrapbook album

I made this mini scrapbook album for my dad for Father's Day with some of the pictures that I have. His mother gave me some great pictures. She was so good about writing the dates on the back of the pictures. This is something I have sadly neglected to do to my pictures.
I really like the mini scrapbooks because they can be finished in a reasonable amount of time. The mini albums can be stored in a basket and left out for all to enjoy. This is the cover.

Small tags are slipped behind the pictures for journaling.

He's posing on the donkey with his grandmother, grandfather, mother, aunt, & uncle in Mexico.

His wedding to my beautiful polynesian mother.

My first sewing lesson. My hair sticks up on top after cutting gum out of my hair. I still have the white cabinet in the back.

Up

I agree with the reviewers that are writing that after a few minutes of watching the UP movie you forget that you are watching an animated movie. This is such a delightful movie from the talented Pixar studios. We saw it a couple of weeks ago when it was released. Three things that I hope I always remember from this movie:
1)- You are always valuable no matter how young or old you are.
2)- Everyday life is an adventure.
3)- It's important to scrapbook. It helps you remember how much fun you had.

Squirrel Cafe

To some people this might look like a dead tree stump but to Hannahlily it looks like a squirrel cafe.

We enjoy watching them right outside our kitchen window.

Garden Wagon

Hannahlily bought this wagon at Home Depot for gardening. It is easier than pushing a wheelbarrow. It is also good for pulling tired dogs.
