Handweights are great to get some more strength. If you haven't used them, 2-3 lbs. are good start with.
I like these Reebok 10 lb weights. I think the grips are easy to hold. They are available at Target.
Hannahlily added that if you use them your daughter will call you "muscle momma" as she calls me.
